Located 25 km north of Melbourne's CBD, Holcim's Oaklands Junction Quarry is a hard rock quarry supplying essential materials for infrastructure and building projects. The site employs approximately 35 people and has planted 35,000 new trees over the past seven years to enhance local biodiversity. Protected areas around significant trees support local wildlife, including kangaroos, wallabies, echidnas, reptiles, owls, eagles, frogs, and wombats. The quarry has contributed to major projects like the Level Crossing Removal, West Gate Tunnel Project, and Melbourne Airport runway upgrades.
