Nestled within the Minnawarra Historic Precinct, History House Museum in Armadale offers a captivating journey through the region's past. Established in 1976, the museum showcases a diverse collection of artifacts that narrate the stories of local Indigenous culture, European and Asian migration, and industries like farming, timber, horticulture, and brick making. Notably, it houses the nationally significant Ben Strange Collection of Australian political cartoons from the late 1880s to the 1930s. Visitors can explore exhibitions that highlight the people and events shaping Armadale's history from pre-European settlement in 1830 to the present day. The museum is open Tuesday to Friday from 10 am to 4 pm, and Saturday and Sunday from 1 pm to 4 pm. Admission is free, with donations welcomed.
