Hermitage

Hermitage is a rural locality in Tasmania's Central Highlands, approximately 55 kilometers north of Hamilton. Established in 1966, it encompasses the expansive Hermitage Estate, a 4,353-hectare property featuring a historic six-bedroom homestead built circa 1822. The estate offers 38 kilometers of river frontage along the Shannon River and River Ouse, and includes facilities such as a shearing shed, stockyards, and stables. The area is characterized by rolling pastures, native bushland, and diverse wildlife, making it a notable example of Tasmania's natural beauty.
