Housed in a historic weatherboard building, the centre showcases a vast collection of photos, paintings, prints, and memorabilia, making it the largest display of Lawson artifacts outside Sydney's Mitchell Library. Visitors can explore exhibits that chronicle Lawson's life from his birth in 1867 to his death in 1922, highlighting his literary contributions and the influence of the Gulgong region on his work. The centre also features a TV room where seven of Lawson's poems are fully dramatized. Open seven days a week, it offers a unique insight into Australia's literary heritage.
