Hammond Park

Hammond Park, located on Memorial Drive in Kalgoorlie, is a lush green oasis in the heart of the outback. The park features a variety of native animals, including kangaroos, emus, and peacocks, which visitors can observe in their natural habitat. A large pond attracts a variety of fish and birds, adding to the park's vibrant ecosystem. Children can enjoy the playground, while families can relax under the shade of trees or in the heritage-listed rotunda. The park also houses a miniature Bavarian castle adorned with approximately 40,000 local gemstones. Facilities include BBQ areas, picnic tables, and a café offering light refreshments. Hammond Park is open daily from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
