Its eucalypt woodlands and paperbark thickets are alive with songbirds, while the Whoogarup Range peaks provide a stunning backdrop. The inlet stretches approximately seven kilometers from its mouth to a rock bar at its northern end. Visitors can enjoy activities such as fishing, kayaking, and bushwalking, including the 2.2-kilometer return walk to Hamersley Beach.
