Established in 1966, Gunnamatta Surf Life Saving Club is dedicated to patrolling the challenging Gunnamatta Beach in the Mornington Peninsula National Park. The club operates a well-equipped clubhouse featuring storage areas for rescue equipment, a first aid room, communications room, kitchen, and accommodation facilities. Members are trained in various surf lifesaving qualifications, including Bronze Medallion, and participate in patrols, training, and social events. The club also offers a Nippers program for children aged 6 to 13, fostering surf safety skills and community engagement.
