Gundagai Gaol

Price on enquiry
The Old Gundagai Gaol, located at the corner of First Avenue and Byron Street, is a historic site offering self-guided audio tours daily from 9:00 am to 3:30 pm. Visitors can explore cells that once held infamous bushrangers like Captain Moonlite and John Peisley. The gaol features a high wall of local slate with rendered capping, and the tour includes the gaoler’s residence, external kitchen block, original hospital, exercise yard, and archaeological remains. Due to the site's construction and terrain, access may be challenging for those with limited mobility.
