Grafton Ngerrie Local Aboriginal Land Council (LALC) is dedicated to enhancing the well-being of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities in the Clarence Valley. Established in 1983, the council focuses on housing, legal affairs, employment, training, and property management. In January 2024, the NSW Government transferred a portion of the former Grafton Correctional Centre site to the LALC, aiming to provide job and training opportunities for local Aboriginal people and the broader community. The council's office is located at 50 Wharf Street, South Grafton, NSW 2460.
