
The Goulburn Rail Heritage Centre, located at 12 Braidwood Road, Goulburn, NSW 2580, is a heritage-listed former railway workshop now serving as a museum. Established in 1989, it showcases the historic transition from steam to diesel locomotion. Visitors can explore a range of locomotives, rolling stock, and railway artifacts within the 42-road circular shed, complete with a 90-foot turntable, built in 1928. The centre operates on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm, with the last tour at 2:30 pm. Admission fees are $15 for adults, $10 for seniors, and $5 for children or students. For general inquiries, the office is open on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.
