Goodenia Rainforest picnic area

Nestled within the South East Forest National Park, the Goodenia Rainforest picnic area offers a serene retreat amidst towering old-growth eucalypts and lush temperate rainforest. This picturesque spot features picnic tables and free gas/electric barbecues, making it ideal for a leisurely lunch. Adjacent to the picnic area, the Goodenia Rainforest walking track provides a 1.2 km loop through a verdant gully of ferns and dense lilly pilly canopy, with a 40-minute return walk. Birdwatchers may encounter lyrebirds, satin bowerbirds, and the distinctive striped tail of the fan-tailed cuckoo.
