Gidget is a modern take on the Australian beach house, designed around a lush tropical courtyard and positioned to capture dappled sunlight all day long on her spacious entertainers’ deck. Alternatively, you can hit the beach located just across the road—it's so close you won't even need to take a towel! This three-bedroom luxury home is all about relaxing amid the beauty of Boomerang Beach. Gidget began life as one of Boomerang Beach’s earliest humble beachside cottages. In 2010, talented local builder and designer ‘Gav’ created an exceptional and contemporary addition, with bespoke interior details and finishes blending the existing cottage with the new form. Her main living area (kitchen, dining, living, and outdoor deck) connects the two ‘sleeping’ wings at either end of the property, allowing parents and children, or groups of friends, to enjoy their privacy at night. Beautiful local reclaimed blackbutt timber features throughout, and Gidget’s show-stopping rammed earth walls create a cozy backdrop for the fireplace in winter and for her outdoor deck in summer. Gidget has been designed to make the most of her sunny aspect, with large sliding doors opening out onto her beautiful setting and tropical location.
