Nestled within the Garfield Recreation Reserve on Beswick Street, the Garfield Community Garden offers a vibrant space for local residents to connect over a shared passion for gardening. Open daily, the garden hosts communal sessions on Wednesdays from 9 am to 11 am and Saturdays from 10 am to 12 pm, inviting participants to engage in planting, maintenance, and harvesting activities. The garden features wicking beds, fruit trees, native plants, and a variety of vegetables, herbs, and flowers. Composting facilities are available, encouraging members to contribute organic waste. Educational workshops are held quarterly, covering topics such as Indigenous planting, bush food properties, olive preserving, and seasonal growing tips.
