Franklyn is a rural locality in South Australia's Mid North region, situated within the Regional Council of Goyder. Established in August 2000, it encompasses the northern section of the Hundred of Wonna. The name "Franklyn" is derived from Franklyn House in Devonshire. Historically, Franklyn was surveyed as a government town in May 1880 and ceased to exist as a town on 9 February 1984. The 1,051-hectare Pandappa Conservation Park is located entirely within Franklyn.
