Located approximately 20 kilometers east of Bendigo, Fosterville Gold Mine is Victoria's largest gold producer. Established in 2005, the high-grade, low-cost underground operation has produced over 3.5 million ounces of gold. In 2016, the discovery of the ultra-high-grade Swan Zone transformed Fosterville into one of the world's richest gold mines. The mine employs over 800 people, primarily from the local community, and is committed to sustainable practices, aiming for net-zero emissions by 2050.
