Five Bob Farm

Nestled in Birchs Bay, Five Bob Farm offers a unique Tasmanian experience with its working farm, orchard, art trail, bushwalks, kitchen garden, vineyard, and venue. Visitors can explore the farm's diverse landscapes, including fields of native pepper, irises, fruit orchards, and an extensive kitchen garden. The farm hosts Art Farm Birchs Bay, a not-for-profit community organization that stages an annual sculpture exhibition featuring 25-30 outdoor pieces from November to January, with some 20 permanent pieces adorning the walks year-round. The property produces a significant portion of Australia's native Tasmanian pepper crop, which is grown, dried, and packaged at the farm under the Diemen Pepper label. Products include packaged berries and leaves, tapas oils, vinegar, and a range of native bush spices such as lemon and anise myrtle, wattleseed, and bush tomato. The farm also has a 3-hectare vineyard planted in 2017. The Venue at Five Bob Farm is available for function hire, featuring a fully equipped commercial kitchen and a generous outdoor deck overlooking lovely views of the D'Entrecasteaux Channel.
