The Field Studies Huts car park provides access to a unique educational facility nestled within Bournda National Park. This secluded area features a timber hut equipped with a potbelly stove, serving as a wet weather shelter and space for food preparation and classroom activities. Surrounding the hut are four A-frame sleeping structures, each raised off the ground with tin roofs, offering protection from the elements. A communal fireplace near the timber hut serves as a focal point for group activities. The site is accessible via Bournda Lagoon Road, a dirt road within the park, suitable for smaller vehicles. Please note, there is no electricity or running water at the Field Studies Huts.
