Festival Theatre

Located on King William Road in Adelaide's Riverbank precinct, the Festival Theatre is the city's largest proscenium arch theatre, accommodating nearly 2,000 patrons across three levels. As the principal venue of the Adelaide Festival Centre, it hosts a diverse array of major performances and festivals annually. The theatre serves as the home for esteemed organizations such as the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra, State Opera South Australia, and The Australian Ballet. Its expansive backstage area is among the largest in the southern hemisphere, making it a preferred choice for productions with large-scale sets. Additionally, the theatre houses the Silver Jubilee Organ, a remarkable hovering pipe organ built to commemorate Queen Elizabeth II's Silver Jubilee.
