Excelsior City Band Hall

Maryborough's Excelsior Band Hall, constructed in Victorian style, complements the city's heritage precinct. It replaced the original hall destroyed by fire in 1987, honoring the longstanding tradition of brass bands in public celebrations. Adjacent to the hall is the George Ambrose White Car Park, formerly the site of the city's first in-ground public baths opened in 1906. On the last Sunday morning of each month, live brass band performances are held in the Rotunda at Queens Park, directly in front of the hall.
