Originally a depot site for freeway construction, the land was transformed by a dedicated volunteer committee into a beautiful park featuring woodlands, wetlands, walking tracks, picnic areas, and an indigenous plant nursery. The Arboretum's motto, "Growing back the bush," reflects its commitment to ecological restoration. It supports local Landcare and Environment groups and hosts a range of events. Visitors can enjoy activities such as walking, cycling, fishing, and exploring well-marked trails. The grounds are open 24/7, while the nursery operates on Mondays and Thursdays from 12 pm to 4 pm.
