
Eureka Reef, located in Chewton, Victoria, is a historic gold mining site offering a self-guided heritage walk through its well-preserved relics. The 1.8 km trail features 21 numbered stops, including mine shafts, cyanide vats, and building ruins, each accompanied by informative signs. The area is part of the traditional lands of the Dja Dja Wurrung People, featuring Aboriginal rock wells. Visitors can enjoy a picnic at the car park, which includes a table and information signs. Dogs on leashes are welcome. Access is via Dingo Park Road, approximately 2.4 km south of Chewton.
