Established in August 1978, Essendon Community Gardens is a not-for-profit association located alongside the Moonee Ponds Creek between Brisbane and Fenton Streets in Travancore. The garden offers both individual plots and shared spaces, fostering a collaborative environment for community members to engage in organic gardening and conservation practices. Open to the public at all times, it serves as a hub for local residents to connect, learn, and cultivate fresh produce. The garden is managed by volunteers and operates on leased land from the City of Moonee Valley.
