Elwood Shule, established in 1931, is a vibrant Orthodox synagogue located at 39 Dickens Street, Elwood, Victoria. The congregation has a rich history, notably accommodating a large number of Jewish Holocaust survivors following World War II. The current synagogue building, dedicated in 1957, offers a warm and inclusive environment for its members. Beyond regular prayer services, Elwood Shule provides a wide range of programs and events catering to all interests and age groups, fostering a strong sense of community. The synagogue is led by Rabbi Mordechai Gutnick, who succeeded his father, Rabbi Chaim Gutnick, in 2003.
