The Electra Community Centre, located at 21A Electra Avenue in Ashwood, serves as a hub for various non-traditional sports and recreational activities within the Monash community. This multi-purpose facility hosts the Waverley Bridge Club, Ceres Calisthenics Club, Monash Croquet Club, and the Doberman and Dog Obedience Club. Amenities include a common kitchen area, an open seating space, and accessible facilities. Designed with environmental sustainability in mind, the centre features a smart building management system for natural ventilation, energy-efficient lighting with motion sensors, and rainwater harvesting for toilet flushing and garden irrigation. These initiatives contribute to efficient energy and resource use. In 2010, the Electra Community Centre received the 'Design, Development and Management Award for Leisure Facilities' at the Parks and Leisure Australia National Awards of Excellence in Adelaide.
