Edgcumbe Beach, TAS

Edgcumbe Beach, located approximately 31 kilometers east of Smithton in Tasmania's Circular Head region, is a tranquil coastal locality along Bass Strait. The area is characterized by its sandy shores, interspersed with volcanic rock formations that date back between 750 and 1,000 million years. These geological features offer a unique landscape for exploration. The beach is part of a small community, with a population of 54 as recorded in the 2016 census. While the beach is known for its natural beauty, it's important to note that camping or overnight stays are not permitted in the area.
