Located at 20 Eastwood Street in Ballarat Central, the Eastwood Leisure Complex is a vibrant community hub that has been serving the region for over eight decades. The facility hosts approximately 100 user groups annually, with more than 1,000 participants visiting each week. In January 2025, the Australian and Victorian governments allocated over $17 million for its redevelopment, aiming to transform it into a contemporary, accessible space. The project includes demolishing existing buildings, except for the basketball stadium, and constructing a new multipurpose hub featuring a medium-sized conference and community event space, 10 meeting rooms, two multipurpose activity rooms, and a kitchen. The redevelopment is expected to be completed by the end of 2026.
