Dismal Swamp, located approximately 361 kilometers southeast of Adelaide and 19 kilometers northwest of Mount Gambier, is a rural locality in South Australia's Limestone Coast region. Established in 1999, it encompasses about 63 square kilometers, with a population of 50 as of 2016. The area is characterized by primary production activities and is home to conservation areas like the Telford Scrub Conservation Park and native forest reserves such as Grundy Lane and Wandilo. The Riddoch Highway traverses the locality from north to south, and the Mount Gambier railway line runs through it.
