Visitors can explore the area via a gravel track that crosses the river, leading to remnants of historic gold mining activities, including mullock heaps and mine adits. The reserve is also home to peregrine falcon nests and offers a seasonal waterhole popular for swimming in early summer. Please exercise caution due to uneven terrain and potential mine shafts when venturing off the main track.
