Located along the Bass Highway in Detention, Tasmania, the Detention River Christian Community is an Anabaptist Christian group with roots tracing back to 16th-century Europe. Established in 2005 by the Elmendorf Christian Community of Minnesota, the community was formerly known as the Rocky Cape Christian Community. In 2017, they acquired the former Detention River Baptist Youth Camp, and in 2021, voted to relocate to Paraguay, selling their Tasmanian property in 2022.
