Fauna comprises sugar gliders, echidnas, koalas, eastern grey kangaroos, marbled geckos, eastern blue-tongued lizards, tiger snakes, red-tailed black cockatoos, swift parrots, and powerful owls. Dergholm is also home to the 104-square-kilometer Dergholm State Park, established in 1982, which offers a range of habitats and wildlife.
