
Dergholm, located in Victoria's far west, is a serene rural area encompassing approximately 288.56 square kilometers. The region is characterized by woodlands, open forests, heaths, and dry swamps, with the Glenelg River traversing its landscape. Flora includes pink gum, yellow gum, brown stringybark, red gum, swamp riparian, and clay heath. Fauna comprises sugar gliders, echidnas, koalas, eastern grey kangaroos, marbled geckos, eastern blue-tongued lizards, tiger snakes, red-tailed black cockatoos, swift parrots, and powerful owls. Dergholm is also home to the 104-square-kilometer Dergholm State Park, established in 1982, which offers a range of habitats and wildlife.
