
Deep Lead Flora and Fauna Reserve, located near Stawell, Victoria, is a 1,870-hectare conservation area renowned for its rich biodiversity. The reserve is home to 21 endangered species, including three unique plant species found nowhere else in the world. Visitors can explore a network of walking and cycling tracks, such as the 2-kilometre McCann Dam Nature Walk, which offers picnic spots along the way. The reserve's diverse habitats support a variety of wildlife, including sulphur-crested cockatoos, corellas, parrots, honeyeaters, swamp wallabies, grey kangaroos, and the endangered squirrel glider. Wildflowers bloom vibrantly in spring, enhancing the reserve's natural beauty. Please note that prospecting and fossicking are not permitted to protect the delicate ecosystem.
