Dapto Greyhounds

Dapto Greyhounds, located at 89 Princes Highway, Dapto NSW 2530, is a renowned venue for greyhound racing enthusiasts. Established in 1937, it has been a cornerstone of the community, hosting races every Thursday night, with the first race typically starting at 7 pm. The track offers various distances, including 297m, 520m, 600m, and 729m, catering to a wide range of racing events. In addition to racing, the venue provides full TAB, bar, and catering facilities, ensuring a comprehensive experience for visitors. The kennel block is air-conditioned, and a veterinary service is available at all race meetings, prioritizing the well-being of the greyhounds. Trial sessions are held on Monday and Friday mornings, as well as after the last race on Thursday nights, with bookings essential through On The Clock. The venue is also equipped with a slipping track, operational on select days, enhancing training opportunities for participants. As of May 2025, the Dapto Agricultural & Horticultural Society announced that greyhound racing at the venue will conclude by June 2026, marking the end of an era for this iconic institution.
