
Housed in the 1927-built Railway Barracks, the Cootamundra Heritage Centre offers a warm and welcoming environment to explore the town's rich history. Established in 2001, it features 14 themed rooms dedicated to various aspects of Cootamundra's past, including the Aboriginal Girls Training Home, wartime history, railway heritage, and aviation. Visitors can delve into the town's unique stories through a diverse collection of artifacts, photographs, and written materials. Open daily from 9 am to 5 pm, entry is by donation. Please note, the historic building may present accessibility challenges; a rear ramp is available for easier access.
