The Cobargo Community Access Centre, located at 48 Princes Highway, Cobargo, NSW 2550, has been a cornerstone of the community, offering a range of services and programs aimed at building a stronger, more resilient community. Established in mid-2021, the Centre engaged with and supported members of the Cobargo community and the broader region, including those affected by the Black Summer bushfires. It facilitated various initiatives such as the monthly Seniors Morning Tea, the Sound Check Youth Music Mentoring program, and provided access to services like the NSW Health Counsellor and Shoalcoast Legal Services. The Centre also hosted groups like Renewable Cobargo, the Cobargo Wellness Group, and the School of Arts Players (SOAPi), and offered free literacy and numeracy tutoring for adults through the Here 2 Help program. In July 2024, after nearly five years of dedicated service, the Centre closed, having successfully fulfilled its mission to support and strengthen the community. While the Centre has closed, some of its beloved services continue in Cobargo, such as High Tea Tuesday at Christ Church Cobargo and Chair Yoga sessions in the School of Arts supper room.
