Classic Southside, located upstairs at Classic Cinemas in Elsternwick, offers an intimate setting for jazz performances, talks, comedy, and more. Every Friday and Saturday, the venue hosts jazz music curated by Sonny Rehe, owner of Fitzroy’s Uptown Jazz Café. Additionally, CineCultVHS presents fortnightly cult VHS screenings, showcasing lost films and analog treasures. Collaborating with South of the City (SOC), Classic Southside features diverse programming, including comedy and spoken word nights organized by SOC, Talkbox, and Big Night In on alternating Tuesdays. The space also hosts occasional gigs, EP launches, and other events throughout the week.
