Christ Church Anglican Church

Christ Church Anglican Church, located at 2 Branson Crescent in Kapunda, South Australia, is a historic place of worship with a rich heritage. Established in 1856, the church was designed by architect Edmund Wright and constructed using stone from the nearby Dutton Hill quarries. The interior features a scissor beam roof and a sanctuary flanked by organ and choir stalls, creating a dignified and restful atmosphere. The church has undergone several enhancements, including the installation of gas lighting in 1877 and electricity in 1925. A notable feature is the organ, originally purchased in 1873 and rebuilt in 1880 and 1887, reflecting the church's commitment to musical excellence. The church also houses a stained glass window commemorating members who served in World War I, adding to its historical significance. Today, Christ Church Anglican Church continues to serve the community, offering regular services and pastoral care.
