Built in 1862 for the Barrabool Hills Total Abstinence Society, Ceres Temperance Hall is a historic sandstone building located in the semi-rural village of Ceres. Overlooking the Barrabool Hills with panoramic views to Geelong, the hall features a timber floor, cathedral ceiling, and thick sandstone walls. Managed by the Ceres Community Association, it offers a versatile space for events, workshops, classes, performances, children's parties, exhibitions, and pop-ups. The hall retains its original temperance covenant, prohibiting the consumption of alcohol on the premises.
