CERES Community Environment Park

Nestled along the Merri Creek in Brunswick East, CERES Community Environment Park is a vibrant 4.5-hectare hub dedicated to environmental education and sustainability. Established in 1982, this award-winning, not-for-profit centre offers a range of programs and activities, including urban agriculture projects, green technology demonstrations, and social enterprises like a market, grocery, café, community kitchen, and a permaculture and bushfood nursery. Visitors can explore organic farms, permaculture gardens, and trails, learning about global warming, water and energy conservation, waste minimisation, and the ways of the Wurundjeri people. The park also features a renewable energy park and eco-house, providing hands-on experiences in sustainable living.
