Nestled in Carss Park, the Carss Park Community Garden is a vibrant space where locals cultivate fresh produce and connect with nature. Established in 2009 on a former bowling green, the garden features four shared vegetable beds, 20 individual plots, and four raised beds designed for mobility access. Additional highlights include a frog pond, herb spiral, orchard trees, and rainwater tanks. A straw bale shed serves as a multifunctional space for community meetings and workshops. Membership is open to Georges River Council residents, fostering a strong sense of community engagement.
