Carlo Sand Blow is a captivating 15-hectare expanse of wind-sculpted dunes within the Cooloola Recreation Area of Great Sandy National Park. Accessible via a 600-meter walk through eucalypt and rainforest, the sandblow offers panoramic 180-degree views of Rainbow Beach, the Coloured Sands, Double Island Point, K'gari (Fraser Island), and Inskip Peninsula. This unique "moonscape" is ideal for photography, especially at sunrise and sunset, and provides opportunities for sandboarding. The area is also home to diverse birdlife, including brahminy and whistling kites. Please note, there is no wheelchair access available.
