The Capricorn Coast Writers Festival, held annually in Yeppoon, Queensland, celebrates the art of storytelling against the stunning backdrop of the Capricorn Coast. The 2025 festival, themed "Stories by The Sea," took place from May 30 to June 1, featuring a diverse program of workshops, author panels, and consults. Attendees had the opportunity to engage with acclaimed Australian authors such as Aleesah Darlison, Richard Yaxley, Geneve Flynn, Barbara Hannay, Jack Roney, and Gary Crew. The festival also hosted a local author expo, student short story competitions, and a children's reading event at the Yeppoon Library. Supported by the Livingstone Shire Council and Keppel Coast Arts, the event aimed to foster a love for books and reading within the community.
