Housed in the refurbished 1907 Canterbury Public Library, now the Heritage Centre, the group offers a comprehensive collection of photographs, maps, books, and documents. Regular monthly meetings feature guest speakers on various historical topics, and the group actively engages in exhibitions and walks. Notable publications include "Visions of a Village" and "Canterbury: A History," both authored by esteemed historian Don Gibb. The Heritage Centre is open daily from 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM, with extended hours on Mondays until 8:00 PM.
