The Caloundra Music Festival, established in 2007, was a cherished annual event held at Kings Beach on Queensland's Sunshine Coast. This family-friendly festival celebrated the region's vibrant culture, environment, and community spirit. Over the years, it showcased a diverse lineup of international and Australian artists, drawing tens of thousands of attendees each year. The festival also aimed to become the region's first net-zero music event by 2027, implementing sustainable practices to minimize its environmental impact. However, due to rising operational costs and declining ticket sales, the Sunshine Coast Council discontinued funding for the festival in June 2024, leading to its permanent cancellation.
