California Gully, a suburb of Bendigo, Victoria, is located approximately 5 kilometers northwest of the city center along Eaglehawk Road. Established during the 1852 gold rush, it was named after the Californian miners who flocked to the area. The suburb features a mix of well-established homes, including California bungalows and miner's cottages, creating a unique architectural landscape. Local amenities include small businesses like Hartley’s Hunting & Fishing, ASQ Garden and Landscape, and the White Horse Hotel. The area is also home to the California Gully Primary School, known as 'Bell Topper Hill,' which had 137 students in 2021.
