Located approximately 25 kilometers from Orange in Central West New South Wales, Cadia is one of Australia's largest gold mining operations. The site features the Cadia East underground mine, renowned for its vast gold and copper deposits, and commenced commercial production in January 2013. Utilizing the panel caving mining method, Cadia produces gold doré bars and gold-rich copper concentrates. The concentrates are piped to a dewatering plant at nearby Blayney and sent by rail to Port Kembla in New South Wales for export. The Molybdenum Plant, commissioned in March 2022, is expected to deliver an additional revenue stream in the form of molybdenum concentrate.
