Venue

Burra, NSW

Established in January 2001, Burra Creek Nature Reserve spans 270 hectares in the Burra locality, approximately 25 kilometers south of Queanbeyan. The reserve encompasses two separate areas, featuring dry shrub and tussock grass forests that are remnants of the original forest communities once widespread in the region. Notably, the reserve is connected to Googong Foreshores and Cuumbeun Nature Reserve, forming part of a larger conservation area within the Queanbeyan River catchment. Visitors can explore the diverse flora and fauna, enjoy scenic walking tracks, and appreciate the natural beauty of this protected area.
