The Burnie Waste Management Centre, located at 289 Mooreville Road, Burnie, operates seven days a week, offering comprehensive waste disposal and recycling services. Visitors can drop off recyclable materials such as steel, cardboard, e-waste, batteries, cooking oil, engine oil, BBQ gas bottles, light globes, paint tins, and commingled food and beverage containers free of charge. The centre also features the Burnie Resale Tip Shop, managed by City Mission, where reusable goods are donated and sold. For green waste and general waste, residents can utilize their waste centre voucher barcodes, which can be scanned from their phone or printed. The facility includes a Waste Transfer Shed for waste disposal and a Tip Shop for purchasing reusable items. Operating hours are Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and weekends from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. The centre is closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year's Day, Good Friday, and ANZAC Day.
