Buddha House

Buddha House, located at 496 Magill Road in Magill, South Australia, is a center for Buddhist study and meditation affiliated with the Foundation for the Preservation of the Mahayana Tradition (FPMT). Established in 1981, it offers a comprehensive program of teachings and practices, providing the South Australian community with the conditions for the study and practice of the Gelug Tradition of Tibetan Buddhism. The center is entirely volunteer-run, with all facility fees supporting course offerings, teachers, and the meditation center. Buddha House provides authentic teachings by Tibetan Buddhist practitioners who have received their education at Kopan Monastery, Nepal, and Sera Je Monastic University, ensuring a connection to an unbroken lineage of spiritual teachings. In addition to its educational programs, the center serves as a vehicle for compassionate action and offers an environment where individuals can engage with real-life issues and societal concerns, integrating theory and practice as a living whole.
