
Brittons Swamp, located approximately 17 kilometers southwest of Smithton in Tasmania's Circular Head region, is a rural locality with a rich history. Established in 1973, it was originally a sawmilling area founded by the Britton family. The area later served as a soldier settlement, providing housing for returned soldiers on small farms. The 2016 census recorded a population of 50 residents. The locality is traversed by Route A2 (Bass Highway), facilitating access to the surrounding areas.
