Nestled within the Para Wirra Conservation Park, Bowdens Cottage is a restored 1930s stone dwelling that now serves as a museum dedicated to the rich gold mining history of the Barossa Goldfields. Managed by the Barossa Goldfields Historical Society, the museum features exhibits showcasing gold mining equipment, geological samples, and historical artifacts. Visitors can explore the surrounding bushland through several walking trails, each offering interpretive signs and scenic views. The cottage is open most Tuesday mornings and the third Sunday of each month, with guided tours available by prior arrangement.
